We created this place for four reasons:
We have been inundated with responses to the new bottle cap. Here at Oliehoorn we immediately got to work on it! We are happy to comment with a little more background information.
Includes update Feb. 28, 2023.

We wanted to improve the recycling of our packaging. Moreover, the labels were also in need of a restyling so that they are now more contemporary and, above all, more in line with our current brand identity.
This varies by sauce. There are 270ml, 465ml and 750ml bottles, but not every sauce is available in every size.
Since the new packaging arrived, the largest bottle is 750ml. Previously it was 900ml but after research based on consumption, it turned out to be too big for an average household. The 450ml bottle has become slightly larger, at 465ml.
Oliehoorn supplies wholesalers, catering companies and consumers. We have many types of packaging: from sachets to bottles and buckets. All with different content sizes. Because every Oliehoorn user has different serving applications. In the context of sustainability, we are constantly looking for ways to preserve the environment and avoid unnecessary waste. In doing so, we keep a close eye on market research and trends. For example, of the approximately 8 million Dutch households, over 3 million are single-person households. Moreover, an average household in the Netherlands consists of 2.1 people. In most households, sauce consumption is naturally much lower than in a cafeteria. Because our sauces have an expiration date (tht) of 6 months, it happens that sauce bottles end up in the trash while they still contain sauce. Unnecessary waste. In short, the 900 ml sauce bottle turned out to be too big for most households. Partly on this basis, we replaced the 900 ml sauce bottle for the consumer market with the handier 750 ml version. In addition, the range has even been expanded to include a smaller 270ml bottle. We like to listen to our fans. So if, based on new insights, there appears to be a need for a larger bottle, nothing will stand in our way of still adding a larger bottle to the segment.
With the new bottles, we also wanted to strike a blow for sustainability. By omitting the rubber in the cap, the entire bottle is recyclable. We therefore opted for a fresh seal in combination with a twist-off cap.

Unfortunately, this is the case with a number of products. These are the products that contain vegetable oils, such as mayonnaise and chip sauce. The purchase prices for vegetable oils have risen sharply recently due to the scarcity of raw materials as a result of the war in Ukraine and the Corona pandemic. And that ultimately affects the price you pay as a consumer. By the way, we do issue a recommended price, but Dutch retailers are free to set their own pricing.Hopefully we give you more insight with this. How annoying! If you fill out our complaint form via the website we promise to make it right!
Complaint formThe recipe is unchanged and therefore tastes -as always- very good! Always respect the tht date (best before date). Exceeding it affects the taste.
