The light spicy soccer flames - Oliehoorn Inspiration

These little flames are for licking your fingers. They give a slight tingle in the mouth due to the different spices. While enjoying these spicy bites, the Netherlands - Ukraine match looks extra tasty. It becomes even more delicious by dipping them in our curry sauce!

Ingredients for 20 flamemets

Here's how to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic cloves and mix the minced meat with a teaspoon of salt, teaspoon of ground cumin, teaspoon of ground coriander seed and a teaspoon of sambal oelek (or more to taste).
  3. Thaw the filo pastry in the package for 30 minutes, then place under a damp tea towel to prevent drying out.
  4. In a frying pan, fry the onion and garlic until glazy and the seasoned minced meat is cooked.
  5. Cut each slice of filo pastry into four equal pieces. Then spoon a tablespoon of the minced meat into the center and fold the sides inward. Then roll up the dough to make flat packets. With the folded piece at the bottom, place the flamemets on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  6. Mix five tablespoons of oil with a pinch of cayenne pepper and, using a brush, smear the flame tarts with the oil.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve with curry.

And now attack!
