A burger with a twist: tuna burger - Oliehoorn inspiration

A burger with a twist! Not a standard burger bun, but a tuna burger on our menu tonight. With a deliciously fresh and creamy sauce based on Brander mayonnaise and dill. This recipe is on your dinner table within twenty minutes.

Ingredients for the tuna burger with lemon-dill mayonnaise

Here's how to make it

  1. Drain the tuna and grate the lemon. Mix the tuna with the egg, 3 tablespoons of the mayonnaise, the panko, lemon zest, 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice, the cayenne pepper and the paprika. Knead the ingredients together and divide into quarters. Make four round burgers and put them in the refrigerator for a while.
  2. Mix the Brander Mayonnaise with the yogurt and season with chopped dill, a tablespoon of lemon juice and salt and pepper.
  3. Using a cheese slicer, cut long strips from the cucumber and slice the tomatoes. Drizzle the vegetables with some lemon juice.
  4. Halve the buns and fry them crispy on the inside in a dry frying pan. Then also fry the burgers until cooked and golden brown on both sides. Do this over medium-high heat.
  5. Top the buns with the mayonnaise, lettuce, the burger, tomato and a ribbon of cucumber. Delicious with a dot of lemon-dill mayo and some ribbons of cucumber.
