Grilled meat skewers with Ketchup glaze

Ingredients

For about 4 people

  • 500 g of meat of your choice (e.g. chicken breast, pork, beef), cut into cubes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Oliehoorn Tomato ketchup
  • Optional: vegetables such as bell bell pepper, onion, mushrooms for on the skewers

Here's how to make it

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning during grilling.
  2. Thread the meat (and any vegetables) onto the skewers and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the barbecue over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the skewers on the barbecue and grill for 10-12 minutes, turning frequently, until the meat is cooked and has nice grill marks.
  5. Coat the skewers with a thin layer of Oliehoorn Tomato Ketchup on both sides, about 1-2 minutes before they are ready to grill. This provides a nice sheen and sweet flavor.
  6. Remove the skewers from the barbecue and serve with a loose bowl of Tomato Ketchup.
