Dutch schnitzel with Curry sauce

Dutch schnitzel with Curry sauce

Ingredients

For about 4 people

  • 4 veal chops (or chicken breast or pork tenderloin)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flower
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • Oil or butter for frying
  • Oliehoorn Curry sauce
  • Optional: lemon wedges to serve

Here's how to make it

  1.  Place the meat slices between plastic wrap and gently pat them with a meat mallet or the back of a pan until they are about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Season the meat on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Place three shallow bowls side by side. Put flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl and breadcrumbs in the third bowl.
  4. Pass each slice of meat through the flour first, making sure it is completely covered.
  5. Then dip the meat into the beaten egg and let the excess egg drip off.
  6. Cover the meat completely with breadcrumbs, making sure it is evenly coated on both sides.
  7. Heat a pan with oil or butter and fry the schnitzels until golden brown and cooked.
  8. Place the schnitzels on plates and squeeze a little Oliehoorn Curry Sauce over each schnitzel.
  9. Optional: serve with lemon wedges

Enjoy your meal!
